She has been a Personal Support Worker (PSW) for a little over 2 years and has always wanted to be involved in healthcare! Her mantra is that care is being able to help meet both the physical and emotional needs of the person. Maria loves to learn more about her clients by listening to their stories and reading with them! Her experience is mainly with clients with Dementia so these activities are helpful to sharpen their minds. For future or current PSWs, her advice is not to forget to take care of yourself; it will ensure clients are receiving your best care from you!
